Wearable Technology for Hair Loss

Technology is everywhere today. From the food we eat that might have been modified with technology to the hearts some of us have keeping us alive in our bodies - technology is literally everywhere.

As devices and solutions become more sophisticated, it seems technology to cure just about everything is being made. Now, those who suffer from hair loss have options too. Gadgets like technology-enabled helmets are being used to help stimulate hair growth.

The Theradome, for example, is a laser helmet is said to work for anyone suffering from hair loss- from the worst cases - to those with just some noticeable thinning. Though the company website warns the sooner it is used the better.

What’s beneficial about this product over some others in the market is that is has been cleared  for use by the FDA for the treatment of Androgenic Alopecia in Women as well as other underlying hair loss issues.

While they still haven’t gotten the clearance on usage of the hair loss helmet to treat men who suffer from male pattern baldness, the company does state it expects to get that approval mid-year.

Lasers can also be effective it helping those who just got a hair transplant done to reduce any shock to the hair follicle and speed up recovery and combined with a topical treatment like Rogaine or oral treatments to further improve results over just using one.

This technology, while very sophisticated and gaining tons of interest, is however not a miracle treatment, since it cannot be used on a bald head with the expectation that hair will suddenly start to grow.

With the progress technology has made over the years though - it could be a possibility in the future.
