Men in the Spotlight Can’t Hide from Baldness

Many times we hear recounts about the damage women today are doing to their tresses in an attempt to keep up with the latest fashion trends.

While there’s no doubt that excessive heat from styling tools and chemicals in most hair products as well as the stress put on womens locks can lead to hair loss - one thing we dont always hear about is the ways men, who also suffer from balding issues, are trying to cover their hair problems up when they are in the limelight.

Rihanna is just one of the recent media stars to be criticized for her hair loss issues.

Now, it seems the media is taking a closer look at someone famous from the opposite sex who is also suffering from hair loss issues. This time the focus is on Mel Gibson.

The 57 year old actor, once known for his luscious locks has aged over time, and naturally now sports a hair-do with much less hair. The now grey and thinning actor was once admired for his long dark locks by many female fans.

The latest critique in the media is that he has tried most recently while spotted leaving an event, to hide his hair loss by supposedly combing over the bald spot in a cheap attempt to conceal the problem. This seems to be most important to the media not just because it was a not so great attempt to conceal the hair loss problem, but because it was also rumored years ago that Gibson had gotten hair transplant surgery - which adds a number of new questions into the mix.

What other superstars are you seeing trying to mask this same hair loss issue?
