For example, Propecia, a well-known drug to treat androgenic alopecia is likely to cause high-grade prostate cancer in males. The FDA has notified healthcare professionals that the Warnings and Precautions section of Propecia include new safety information about the increased risk of being diagnosed with a more serious form of prostate cancer (high-grade prostate cancer).

Experts believe that future treatments of androgenic alopecia may use gene therapy. The treatment will involve altering the constitution of genes to prevent the follicles from being affected by DHT.

There are several techniques to restore your hair. Most popular of them include follicular unit extraction and laser therapy.
