Dr. Mejia is a Board Certified Dermatologist and a Diplomate of the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery.

Dr. Mejia is a native of Miami Florida. He earned a B.S.E. in Biomedical Engineering from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. He obtained his Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Texas, Southwestern Medical School in Dallas and completed an internship in Internal Medicine at Parkland Hospital in Dallas. He completed his Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery residency training at the University of Kansas Medical Center where he was Chief Resident. Dr. Mejia is specialty trained in Lasers, and Mohs skin cancer surgery.

Dr. Mejia completed a fellowship in hair transplantation surgery.  He is one of very few surgeons to have completed a fellowship that are also board certified in Dermatology and a Diplomate of the American Board of hair restoration Surgeons. Dr. Mejia's practice is dedicated to hair transplantation. Dr. Mejia is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Medical Association, American Society for Lasers in Medicine and Surgery, American Society for Mohs Surgery, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, and the International Society for Hair Restoration Surgery.
