Dr. Maas, an honors graduate, received his medical education at the University of Florida College of Medicine. Dr. Maas continued his training with a general surgery internship and head and neck surgery residency at the St. Louis University College of Medicine. He completed his specialty training with a fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine, where his achievements earned him an appointment to the full time faculty where he served as Chief of the Division of Facial Plastic Surgery. He is an active leader of numerous professional organizations, has served on the Board of Directors of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the California Society of Facial Plastic Surgery and the California Medical Association.

Dr. Maas' credentials include specialized training and experience in surgical procedures to reverse the signs of aging, refine facial features, correct congenital and acquired facial deformities and nasal disorders.

Dr. Maas utilizes minimally invasive techniques for facial rejuvenation and his annual course is recognized internationally by aesthetic health care professionals. Dr. Maas is recruited as a lecturer by regional, national, and international medical societies. He is a respected professor and extensively published researcher responsible for the surgical specialty education of surgical residents, fellows and other clinicians. He has received the Sir Harold Delf Gilles Award from the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery for groundbreaking research on surgical implant materials.

Dr. Maas combines his experience as an academic professor at the University with an active cosmetic and reconstructive surgery practice. In addition to his surgical expertise, Dr. Maas brings an aesthetically oriented patient-focused approach to his practice. Consultation and facial analysis are individualized and provided in a private, comfortable office setting with computer assisted facial imaging. Ancillary consultation with nurse specialists, aestheticians and nutrition and fitness experts are appropriately used to treat each patient according to their individual needs.

The Maas Clinic offers care and service for patients with congenital and traumatic deformities of the face and neck in addition to cosmetic surgery of these areas. The goals for all such procedures are individualized for each patient to restore a balanced and youthful appearance.
