Dr . David Alpeter joined Bosley in 2004 after a 13-year career in general surgery . He received his B.A. (cum laude) in Biology from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC and his M.D. from Wake Forest University School of Medicine in 1986. He performed his internship and residency training at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati and served as Chief Resident his final year.
From 1991 to 2004, Dr . Alpeter served as a General Surgeon at the Ashtabula Clinic. He was a physician in the Cleveland Clinic Health System. During that time he was Director of Managed Care, Chief of Staff at Ashtabula County Medical Center and President of the Ashtabula Clinic Physicians Group.
After 13 years Dr . Alpeter felt he needed a new challenge. He was approached to consider hair transplantation. At first I was reluctant because of my impression of hair transplants looking like dolls hair . When I saw how natural and truly undetectable modern techniques were, I was blown away.
In 2004, Dr . Alpeter chose to practice hair transplantation exclusively with Bosley . Now, after having performed more than 8,000 hair transplantations, he appreciates the combination of artistry and science that goes into every procedure. Creating a hairline that is completely natural and compliments the patients facial structure is paramount. At the same time, there is no question that the more hair that is moved, the better the result.
David Alpeter , M.D. is board certified in Hair Restoration Surgery (Diplomate of ABHRS) and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS). He is a member of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ISHRS). In 2016 he was elected to be a board member of the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery (ABHRS). In addition to being on the Board of Directors,Dr . Alpeter is an examiner for the Board certification examination.
He is licensed to practice medicine in the states of New York, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Florida, Texas, Arizona, and California.
