Dr Beckenstein is a board certified plastic surgeon who specializes in FUE/FUT hair replacement. He utilizes Neograft technology and is the first to do so in Alabama. Dr. Beckenstein is in his fourth year of performing hair replacement with this technology and also uses this to complement other methods of hair replacement including scalp reductions and tissue expansion.
The addition of the Sunetics G laser to his practice has expanded the services provided to those not ready for hair replacement. It also enhances the results of the FUT procedures by stimulating blood flow to the grafted regions. He also performs in depth computer analysis on his patients which allows for detailed qualitative and quantitative looks at pre and post procedure results. He offers full hair care services in his practice.
Michael S.Beckenstein, M.D. Is a graduate of Union College in Schenectady, N.Y. who then obtained his medical degree at Eastern Virginia Medical School. He completed residencies in general and plastic surgery, obtaining board certification in both. He is a diplomate of the American College of Surgeons, American Board of Plastic Surgery and member of the American Society of Plastic  Surgeons, and prestigious American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
